FAQ
What exactly is the Hadrien Feraud Masterclass?
This is a philosophy-first masterclass featuring 40+ video lessons (4+ hours of content) where Hadrien shares his complete methodology for developing as a musician. It's structured as a conversation between Hadrien and Grammy-winning pianist Ruslan Sirota, half teaching, half discussion. Think of it like sitting in a studio with Hadrien as he explains not just what to play, but how to think, hear, and evolve as a musician.
What topics does the masterclass cover?
The Masterclass covers: Philosophy of musicianship and Hadrien's self-taught journey; Building musical language vs. memorizing licks; All modes, how to hear them, feel them, and use them musically; Transcribing methodology that develops your ear; Playing in a band and finding your voice; Technique with meaning, action, feel, fretless, putting soul into notes; The difference between social media musicians and real musicians.
Is this a technique course?
Yes and no. You'll learn technique, but technique isn't the point. Most courses give you exercises, "practice this scale," "learn this lick." Month after month, you don't actually become more musical. This masterclass gives you the tools Hadrien used to go from a kid in Paris wearing out rewind buttons to being called "the new Jaco" by John McLaughlin. The philosophy behind technique. The intelligence behind note choices. The musicianship that separates good players from exceptional ones.
How do I access the course after purchase?
Immediately after purchase, you'll receive an email with login credentials and access instructions. You can start watching within minutes.
Can I download the videos?
The videos are available for streaming through our course platform only. Downloadable materials (tabs, transcriptions, supplementary PDFs) are included where applicable.
What makes this different from other bass courses?
Three things: First, it's philosophy-first. You learn HOW to think, not just WHAT to play. Second, it comes from a self-taught virtuoso who achieved world-class status without formal academy training, so he explains complex ideas in plain language. Third, it's about developing YOUR voice, not copying Hadrien's. This is music education that makes you a better musician, not just a better bass player.
What is the Docuseries?
The docuseries is Hadrien Feraud's origin story, his influences, his personal journey, and how his approach to music and the bass came to be. It's a standalone free series, not a direct part of the Masterclass, but a natural predecessor to it. The docuseries references various musical compositions, recordings, and artists for educational and reference purposes only, under fair use.
How much does it cost?
The Full Masterclass starts at $249.
